Personal Visions Gallery

Unique perspectives and experiences have an extraordinary impact on creativity. To this end, the Dennis and Phillip Ratner Museum has partnered with Cornerstone Montgomery to create the Personal Visions Gallery. Housed on the main level of the museum, Personal Visions is the only gallery of its kind in Montgomery County. Personal Visions provides a permanent space where artists living with disabilities can prominently display and sell their work. Participants for each exhibit come from a vast array of backgrounds, all creating from non-traditional settings. The gallery features original art by consumers of mental health services across the state of Maryland and is run and maintained by Cornerstone Montgomerys advanced art program, Studio In-Sight. Studio In-Sight supports recovery goals by giving artists the opportunity and space to create art in a safe place and be surrounded, supported and influenced by other artists shared a recently featured artist.
